Coffee brewing for those new to presses:
1. Boil water in tea kettle.
2. Add coarsely ground coffee to the Coffee pot;
approximately 3 - 4 Tbsp for a full pot
of coffee. Feel free to add some spices to the grounds (eg. cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, etc.)
3. Pour over coffee grounds and fill pot 2/3 full.
4. Quickly stir coffee with a long spoon.
5. Place plunger lid on top of pot, but resist plunging yet...
6. Allow coffee to steep for 3 - 4 minutes before
gently and steadily depressing plunger. There
will be slight resistance.
7. Pour and enjoy the formidable taste of
French Press coffee!

Friday Fav
Making coffee in my house is done with ease with my new coffee press from Epicure that will survive even me! In the past my coffee press streak has not been good; cracks in the glass, thin glass breaking in the sink while getting ready to wash, ugh! This snazzy, insulated, polished steel French coffee press is a must for clumsy coffee lovers like moi!
